About Me

  • My Curriculum Vitae Studiorum [CV]  [Short Version]

  • In 2002 I was enrolled as student in the physics undergraduate degree course at the University of Turin.
  • I got the BS degree in Physics in 2005. My thesis topic was: Study of an optical coupling device between quartz fibers and a PM for the ALICE Zero Degree Calorimeters.
  • In 2007 I got the MS degree in Physics of Fundamental Interactions at the University of Turin, with a experimental curriculum and a final evaluation of 110/110 magna cum laude.
My thesis work was performed at the local section of the CMS experiment and its purpose was the study on Monte Carlo Simulation of the discovery strategy for the Higgs Boson decay channel in 2 muons and 2 electrons.
  • In January 2008 I was enrolled as Ph.D. student at the experimental physics department of the University of Turin. As Ph.D. student, I worked for the CMS experiment on the Tracker Alignment.
  • After having obtained my Ph.D. in Particle Physics in February 2011 discussing a thesis entitled The Alignment of the CMS Tracker and its Impact on the early Quarkonium Physics, I am currently a post-doctoral research fellow at the Torino Section of INFN. My reasearch interests in CMS concern precision measurements in the Electroweak Physics sector, more precisely the study of the production of electroweak bosons in association with heavy flavour quarks, and the study of the performance of the Inner Silicon Tracker.
