• SuperFOx – Superconductivity and Functional Oxides

from Monday 19 to Wednesday 21 September 2016

Lingotto Campus of Politecnico di Torino

SuperFOx was born in 2012 from the merging of SATT (Conferenza Nazionale di Superconduttivita’) and FOxE (Congresso Nazionale sugli Ossidi Funzionali per l’Elettronica), and since its first edition, it has been characterized by an international profile. Following the evolution of current research, new scientific topics have been included in SuperFOx program, with the aim of promoting knowledge exchange between adjacent fields of research in solid-state physics.

The Conference will take place in the Lingotto Campus of Politecnico di Torino. To facilitate the arrival and departure of the participants, the works of the conference will start in the early afternoon of September 19 and finish in the early afternoon of September 21. For the first time, SuperFox will be organized with plenary sessions with an interdisciplinary character, parallel topical sessions (with invited and contributed talks), and poster sessions.

A preliminary schedule can be found in the Conference website: superfox2016.polito.it

The topics of the Conference include but are not limited to:

    • Superconducting materials and properties
    • Large scale application of superconductors
    • Superconducting electronics
    • Oxide interfaces and heterostructures
    • Topological insulators and superconductors
    • Graphene and other low-dimensional materials
    • Strongly correlated systems
    • Magnetic oxides
    • Dielectrics, ferroelectrics and multiferroics
    • Thermoelectric materials and phenomena
    • Nanostructured materials and devices
